Dear Prayer Warriors,

That same service, in a large plastic swimming pool we set up in the garage area, we baptized five (3 men and 2 single ladies). The whole crowd met on our rented 3rd floor and then shared a meal together on the flat roof of the building.

Her mother and a brother had attended our church and we were making a visit in their home. Nora sternly but politely informed me and my visitation partner that she was a staunch Catholic and happy with her religion. I gave her a couple of tracts and my business card. In a few weeks the phone rang. She wanted to talk, so Debbie and I promptly made the personal contact. For privacy we sat in the car and talked parked in front of her friends’ house. In about an hour, she bowed her head and accepted Christ into her heart. We picked her up for church the next day on Sunday and she attended my new believer’s class. Without hesitation she wanted to be baptized in the already planned baptismal service. Last Sunday we had 5 in the new convert’s class and Nora of course attended as she has faithfully since her salvation. Her strong character has truly been transformed. I believe she can become a real asset in the cause of Christ as she matures in the Lord.

We hope your Thanksgiving went as well as ours. We had a house full of fellow missionaries and their children over. Our youngest daughter, Shay & her husband plan to spend Christmas with us here in Perú. Dionne’s family and Cade will spend Christmas together stateside. Then our son Cade leaves on another military mission. Please keep our children and their families in your prayers.

Serving our Lord Together,

Max and Debbie Harmon – PERÚ SINCE 1982
