April 2012 Prayer Letter

Dear Church Family,

Well we have had a great start in 2012. In early January we took our teens to a new camp on the other side of the Island (Hawks Bay). Our teens were apprehensive about meeting people they have never met before. But God blessed even though the facilities were not very plush and the food wasn't very appetizing. The campers were outstanding people. I can honestly say I have never experienced a more Christ centered camp. Our theme for the week was “Be Ye Transformed.” We had two saved. Sarah is seventeen and has been attending our youth group for less than a year. The other teen saved was my son, Kyle. Kyle had made a profession in the past but this time he was under conviction as a guilty sinner and not simply to follow others. He said, "Dad I need to do this for me because I need to know my sins have been forgiven."

Pray for our Bible In School ministry. We now have three classes in two schools. We also have a woman and her son who are not members but have taken another class. That means more than one hundred children are able to hear the gospel and learn about creation in government run, secular schools. We don't know how long this will last. Lisa and our ladies have been involved with this program for more than ten years now. We have been kicked out of two schools as a result of school boards and some teacher’s opposition. But things are still going well. There are other churches involved with Bible In School. The schools place limits as to what we can say in the classroom. We can't mention the word sin. We say Jesus died for all the wrong we do. We stretch the boundaries as far as we can and so far after all these years God has protected us.

As for any needs we will have this year. We're getting crowded in our Sunday morning worship and will need to take out the back wall to open up space. Our van and car also need repairs (both 1996). Right now it is costing more than we can afford to keep them on the road.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers! We love you!
